Choosing the perfect soundtrack for your wedding day is so important! From the time hair and makeup begins, to the last song of the night, music plays a huge part in setting the vibe of the day and keeping everyone on the dance floor!
If you know me personally, you know I love music. There’s not a day that goes by that I’m not listening to my favorite songs. I have a playlist for every mood. I adore everything from bluegrass to ratchet (that’s a genre, right?)!
As a planner, I’m fascinated by the way couples choose songs for their big day! A lot of thought goes into what to play and when to play it. Some choices are very personal and sentimental. Other song choices are clearly made to get the party started!

Bride Ceremony Entrance
Although it’s an instrumental, this song told a story as the bride walk down the aisle to marry the love of her life. This was by far one of the most captivating bridal entrances I’ve ever witnessed!

The Way I Am by Ingrid Michaelson
Wedding Processional
I couldn’t think of a better song for this couple if I tried! Already one of my favs, the bride shared that this was her choice for the processional and I was thrilled! The music and lyrics for this song matched the couple perfectly! Everyone said a collective “Awww” as the first notes began to play.

As soon as the couple was pronounced husband and wife, this song played over the speakers. Guests clapped and celebrated the couple and some were even dancing in their seats! This song set the mood for the rest of the night! I even ended up on the dance floor!
